Rap Snacks in Sam's Club

ATL Hip Hop| Culture| Definition| Review

Introduction

Now that Hip Hop is put in the Public Eye (for General Acceptance), there is a sudden SURGE in Hip Hop.

For example, I went to Sam's Club today and witnessed a SAF Event.

Not just SAF, I'm talking about SUPER DUPER SAF.

There's so many Flags on these products, but first, let's take a look at what I saw.

Rap Snack 1 - Snoop and Others

Rap Snacks 2 - Nicki Minaj

Upon first sight, the high level of disrespect and disregard for our culture and art form is disappointing.

But again, we're talking about the Invaders, so why are we surprised?

To close out this blog, I'll leave you with a few questions.

My Questions

  1. If Snoop is a Hip Hop Legend, why didn't he say something about calling them Rap Snacks?

  2. Why didn't Snoop complain about the tagline, The Official Snack of Hip Hop?

  3. Since Snoop is the only Hip Hop Legend of these four, why doesn't he have his own box like Nicki Minaj?

  4. Does this mean that Nicki is "Bigger" than Snoop now?

  5. Is Nicki Minaj a Rap Legend, a Trap Legend, or a Hip Hop Legend?

  6. When did these Recording Artists make this deal with Sam's Club?

  7. Where is the Official Hip Hop Committee that signed off on these deals?

  8. Are these deals the same as other Celebrities with a Sam's Club deal?

  9. Why did they pick these "particular" Celebrities for this Sam's Club Product Line?

  10. Why is the Product called Rap Snacks, but it is called "The Official Snack of Hip Hop?"

  11. Is this product endorsing Rap, Trap, or Hip Hop?

Homework Questions

  • Is this Product a good or Bad thing for Hip Hop?

  • Why or Why Not?

  • When did Hip Hop nominate and hire an Official Hip Hop Team?

  • Who signed off on this Product?

  • Has this Product helped or hindered Hip Hop Culture?
