My Original Rant

We need to stop with this bias and prejudice in SPORTS, not just Basketball.

Everyone is a ROLE PLAYER. Don’t you remember – there is no I in TEAM?

A Leader is a Role Player. A Scorer is a Role Player. A Defender is a Role Player.

A Rebounder is a Role Player.

A Passer is a Role Player.

Playing in the Post is a Role.

Leading the Team in any Category is STILL a Role Player.

To even imply that a group of people are ROLE PLAYERS and somehow, another group is “ABOVE OR BETTER” than them is such a demolishing, childish, and dysfunctional mentality.

Can you imagine going to a Youth Sports Game and the players are introduced like this.

We have this guy, this guy, this guy, this guy, and this guy for So-So Middle School and these are the Role Players for the HOME TEAM.

We have this guy, this guy, this guy, and this guy for Another Middle School and these are the Role Players.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE. . .

Now we have (PLAYER NAME) and he is being touted as the NEXT GOAT and he is THE MAN for this team.

Now we have (PLAYER NAME) and he is definitely in the GOAT Debate and he is THE MAN for this team. Tonight, we will find out which GOAT will prevail.

Can you imagine being a parent and your son comes up to you, “Mama, why am I considered a ROLE PLAYER when everything I do helps the team TO WIN? Why is what he does MORE IMPORTANT than what I do? The score board shows the Team’s SCORE, not HIS POINTS. Why should I keep playing when all y’all care about his WHAT HE DOES and not the rest of us. Why not let us GO HOME and let those two GOATS play 1-on-1?”

As your son walks away from you disgusted, he turns and sighs, “You know what Mama, I quit the Team and if you wanna take me home and beat my butt and give me a whooping, that’s fine. I’m not keep dealing with people disrespecting some people and liking other people. That’s how Racist people treat us and now that’s how we treat our kids? Don’t make sense to me Mama.”

As you can see above, I am simply pointing out issues and problems.

And of course, the LOSERS always have something to say.

As noted above in my original RANT, do you see ANY mention of Racism?

This Person, obviously a LOSER and a TOXIC MIMIC, thinks Prejudice and Bias = Racism.

This is what happens when people need to MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS.

For our own purposes though, it’s better to STAY SILENT and walk in our OWN GREATNESS.
