Episode 2 – The Unicorn called MS Word

I know it’s not a good plan, but I must start somewhere.

I talked to THEM and story after story, all they gave were excuses:

Why are you writing?

Who wants to be a writer?

Isn’t that something they did in the Dark Ages?

What happened to you becoming an Electrical Engineer?

How are you going to get paid as a writer when no one reads?

After weeks of searching, one of our Elders slipped me a pen from her sash and warned me that if I talked to others, they would discourage me from the path.

I responded, what path?

She smiled, aren’t you looking for the Golden Pen?

Before I could respond, she covered my mouth and said there was a Local Unicorn called MS Word that would help me with my journey across the waters.

I frowned in confusion, across the waters?

She smiled and rubbed my beard, Our town has been in peril since our former leader left for the Forest of Secrets. He was convinced that his quest would reveal to him the ancient Eye of Heru.

As she spoke, I remembered our former leader, the wondrous Noble Drew Ali, the way he led our village through the Civil Wars and the Great Proclamation.

After she finished, she gave me a map and told me that MS Word would be found grazing alongside the Microsoft Ocean.

I packed my gear and set off to meet the infamous MS Word.
