Content Spotlight – Award-Winning Video – On Bended Knee

First Layer – The Concept

The concept of this video is entirely ORIGINAL in its delivery.

The term, On Bended Knee, is a General Meme associated with a man getting down on one knee and proposing to his Woman to become his Fiancee and eventually, become his Wife.

I have flipped and remixed the meaning of the term, On Bended Knee, and redefined the phrase with Black Nationalism and Standing up for one’s self.

Then, I have taken this new meaning and associated it with Kaepernick’s battle against the NFL to symbolize the Strength of the Human Willpower to overcome any obstacle.

This type of Symbolism Development is ONLY done in Long-Form Content (Movies, Video Games, TV Series, Novels, Serialized Fantasy and Science Fiction), but I have compressed the content into Short-Form Content (The Hip Hop Remix of On Bended Knee to support the Kaepernick Fight against the NFL).

Second Layer – The Audio

The Audio Part of the Video is an entirely new REMIX of the song On Bended Knee.

I took pre-existing material and changed it around completely, so the song itself is an Original Remix of the Song by Boyz II Men.

You can take the Original Version released by Boyz II Men and play it alongside mine and easily see My Version is an entirely new REMIX, rearranging the elements, and should be considered an entirely “New Composition.”

The remix should be considered partly as a Cover and partly as a Remix, something new and separate from the Original Version.

Third Layer – The Video

The Video is an original video arrangement of Photographs, but I have added TEXT to “Frame” the Material within the Storyline (in the Concept Category above) and I have “glued” the Photographic Elements into an entirely new Narrative, which now becomes an ENTIRELY NEW AND ORIGINAL Piece of Art, the same legalese given to Films that state, Based on True Events, also applies in this instance.

Conclusion

Under these conditions, I am viable for the Copyright Protection of this Original Short-Form Content that has been released as an Educational Video for Black History Month, detailing the struggle of my People and our Ancestors, native to this land we define as the United States of America.
