Culture.

We speak the words, yet many don’t know or have ever known.

Is it a secret, not even close.

Is it a mystery, still way off track.

Culture is a simple thing . . . if you experience the world with child-like innocence.

Most of us, after entering adulthood, lose our N.I. (Natural Intelligence) and devolve into a shell of a human being.

Let’s fix that issue right now.

What is Culture?

As adults, the first thing we do is either “run to a dictionary” or “google” something.

But we never ask, what if they’re wrong?

As an English Major, Communications Major, Journalism Minor, Investigative Journalist, and Award-Winning Technical Writer, I havethe CLOUT to tell you.

When it comes to certain topics, you’re not going to get the “proper” definition.

And by proper, I mean exact.

Not close, not almost, not almost there.

Let’s stop kidding ourselves.

There is TRUTH and everything else is a PERVERSION.

And in this context, you either know what CULTURE is or you don’t.

Can someone teach you?

The answer is ABSOLUTELY NO!

In this context, the word Culture refers to layers and layers and layers upon meaning, buried deep within the Indigenous:Like air, we breathe Culture.

We inhale it, we exhale it.

We exist because of it.

We are alive because of it.

So, let’s go digging!

The Layers of Culture

The first layer adults chase is a definition.

So, let’s start there.

This is how “The World” defines Culture:

• Culture refers to the shared beliefs, customs, practices, and social behavior of a particular group or society. It encompasses everything from the language, music, and art of a community to their religion, values, and traditions. Culture is learned and passed down from generation to generation through socialization, and it shapes the way people perceive the world, interact with one another, and make meaning out of their experiences. Culture can be specific to a certain region, ethnicity, or religion, and it can also change over time in response to social, political, and economic developments. Overall, culture is a vital aspect of human societies, providing a sense of identity, meaning, and community for those who participate in it.

I can tell you this, that SOUNDS REAL GOOD.

But that definition can’t tell you about those “endless summer nights” when we practiced windmilling until the street lights flickered and suddenly, ten kids were there and 15 nanoseconds later, we have VANISHED!

It can’t tell you about those painful nights when the bruises were so bad, we had to take baths in Epsom Salt and Green Alcohol to sleep.

It can’t tell you about that “stuttering heartbeat” you get during your first battle and the DJ changes the song and everyone’s eyes turn and PEER INTO YOUR SOUL. . .

It can’t tell you about the “heavenly satisfaction” of spending two weeks trying to windmill and failing and then, one day, you get down on the cardboard and do it – just LIKE THAT!

It can’t tell you about when you walk through Greenbriar Mall and the people whisper about you in the corners near the Gold Mine Arcade:

You must accept that Culture is an experience, an awakening, a connection, an identity, and a Spiritual Tattoo that belongs to the Indigenous.

You can’t buy this and you can’t sell it.

For the fifty eleventh time – Money and Finance has nothing to do with Hip Hop Shawdy! 💩

And if you’re still CLUELESS, remember that Culture is an asset owned and operated by the Indigenous.

Now, let’s tackle the word Cultural.

What is Cultural?

Cultural is exactly what it sounds like:

• Brandy already told us that Almost Doesn’t Count.

It’s kinda like something, but not really.

It’s close, but not there.

It surrounds the truth, but is unable to enter the fairgrounds.

For those in the know, Cultural exists on the other side of the fence.

It’s out there with the Calvary.

With the Invaders.

With the Colonizers.

How do we put Cultural in Context?

• For those who love Christ, it’s the Anti-Christ.
• For those who love Christianity, it’s Satan.
• For those who love the light, it’s the False Light.
• For those who love Movies, it’s The Matrix.
• For those who love Philosophy, it’s a Toxic Mimic.
• For those who love Spirituality, it’s a Political Stunt.
• For those who love Religion, it’s Monotheistic.
• For those who love Pop Culture, it’s Fake News.
• For those who love Journalism, it’s Indoctrination.
• And for those who love the TRUTH, it’s Perversion.
